Firing Range

  • Season 17 Firing Range added to the game
    • Added retail like loot system.
    • Added vending machines with improved deathbox UI.
    • Added retail ninja easter egg.
    • New loot table just for new firing range.
  • Added gadget items to both original and new Firing Range maps
  • Fixed broken game state in firing range playlist
  • Merged firing range and survival loot table together, now they share the same loots

Legends

New Legend: Ash

  • Fully playable tactical and ultimate abilities
  • Original particle effects

Horizon

  • Implemented horizon tactical ability

Fuse

  • Replaced tactical and ultimate particle effects with original ones.

Valkyrie

  • WIP Tactical and Ultimate abilities

Gibraltar

  • Added missing fast revive in Gibraltar dome

Revenant

  • Disabled dev debug draw for tactical
  • Abilities now use original particle effect

Weapons & Equipment

  • Added Rampage LMG with energize mechanic.
  • Added Nemesis.

  • Reworked sentinel energize mechanic.
  • Reworked Bow animations.
  • Fixed missing muzzle flash on all weapons.
  • Heat Shield:
    • Added to the game.
    • Uses original sounds and particle effects.

    • Fixed incorrect particle effects.
    • Now spawns in firing range.
    • Loot type changed from ordnance to gadget.
  • P2020 animations updated to season 11.
  • Updated all weapon values to retail values.

Visuals, FX & Audio

  • Updated all particle effects to season 11.
  • Updated impact tables for s11 particles.
  • Audio is updated to Season 18.
  • Fixed bad harvester beam on worlds edge maps.

Maps and Map Toys

  • Arenas Reworked
    • Most of arenas maps have been reworked to use original shaders.
    • This includes Encore, Phase Runner and Party Crasher.
    • Fixed minimap being zoomed out too much in arenas maps.
  • Reworked Map: Olympus Season 9
    • Reworked the entire map to use original shaders.
  • New Map: Arenas Habitat 4

Dev Note: Most of the new maps are still WIP, I just wanted to give R5V players a chance to try them out, we are aware of the bugs these maps have. Please do not report them.


Stability and Scripts

  • General script cleanup and base script updates
  • Fixed broken dome triggers
  • Added error handling for Quick Chat
  • Added error handling for missing loot refs
  • Fixed missing bodygroup settings for new Legends when reviving
  • Updated localizations
  • Updated dummy model in firing range to retail dummies.
  • Movement Recorder returns!
  • Herobrine Removed.
  • Lobby map select layout changed from 1x5 to 5x5

SDK and Engine Changes

  • common_sdk.rpak and common_r5valk.rpak has been removed.
  • All paks have been rebuilt using updated repak
    • This should fix some crash issues on pak unload
  • Increased total amount of MTX cosmetics (1000 > 4000)
  • Added BSP visibility and collision debug rendering systems
  • Added static prop debug hooks and new debug_staticprop_text ConVar
  • Added extended model precache system
  • Improved FMOD backend:
    • Better event instance management and control
    • Fixed rapid-fire audio issues
    • Added hash mapping for event instances
    • Wrapped FMOD debug output behind fmod_debug checks
  • Patched Miles Audio 10.0.62 for crash fixes and debugger support
  • Fixed listener mask crash
  • Fixed ziprail entity crash and added detour registration
  • Replaced Discord SDK with native IPC
  • Updated all core and player animations to season 11 version
    • Bow now has third person animations.
